The EarthTrends site is a comprehensive online resource about the environment and eccenomic trends. Full of facts and downloadable data, a good resource for the media and teachers.

Freecycle is a network of groups dedicated to giving stuff for free in their towns. This is a great idea, re-use is far better than recycling since it takes no energy. People are far to willing to throw away rather than make do or mend.
